Frequently Asked Questions Q: How many years of
experience do you have?
A: George Nichols has over 20 years of experience in
broadcasting (on air, commercial production, etc.) and 5 years of
experience in community theatre (on and off stage). But most
importantly, he's been DJ-ing weddings for over 10 years.
Q: May we call your references?
A: Absolutely. We've made arrangements with previous
clients for them to accept calls from future clients. Just let us
know.
Q: Will you allow requests?
A: Certainly, if that's what you want. We have had
clients specify that no requests could be played - but that's a unique
situation. Normally we will take requests from your guests and
make sure it's not only appropriate for the situation but that it also
fits with your wishes.
Q: How early will you be there to set up?
A: We'll be there an hour before your guests arrive to set up
the equipment and do the sound checks. There is no charge for this
service.
Q: Do you work with photographers, videographers, etc.?
A: Absolutely. They want your event to be great and so
do I. So if we work together and coordinate our activities, we're
sure to succeed. I also make it a point to work with your caterer,
event planner, hotel rep, etc. I especially want to
coordinate things with your master and mistress of ceremony.
BTW - if you need suggestions for other vendors or places to hold your
event, I can pass those along, too.
Q: Do you pass out business cards and have a big sign promoting your
business?
A: I don't put up a big sign (or any sign) and I don't push
myself on your guests. If someone comes up and asks for a
card then I give them one. But it's your event, not mine.
Nobody should be trying to upstage you.
Q: How will you be dressed?
A: Normally slacks and a dress shirt - to present a positive
image to your guests - but usually toned down from what the wedding
party would wear. After all - it's your event, not mine.
Q: Do you use professional gear?
A: The speakers, amp, mixer, cd player and software technology
are all professional grade and more than adequate for your event.
Q: Do we need to feed you and your assistant?
A: You aren't required to feed us. Sure, it's nice to
be invited to enjoy the meal and you can be sure that we wouldn't
intrude on your guest or the wedding party. But don't feel like
you are required to give us a meal.

Here's what some previous clients had to say:
"George worked with me for months before my wedding to make sure
everything would be perfect. He let me choose my level of involvement in
musical selections, and even went above and beyond to help me out when I
had trouble with our party favor CD. Most DJs are just hype and fog
machines, but George focuses on what really matters: the music. Our
reception guests danced all night long!" - Craig Groff-Folsom
We could not have hoped for more in a DJ. The
dance floor was packed all night and everyone raved about the
music. Even our videographer told us that he's never seen a dance floor
that full for an entire reception. If given the chance we'd pick George
again in a heartbeat. - Jennie Nowak
